The order came a day after the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari, said it would revisit the claims by the former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido, that the money was not remitted to the Federation Account.

President Jonathan had said that the order was given to ensure that Nigerians were properly informed on the matter.

He expressed concerns over continuing suggestions that his administration had something to hide about the unproven allegation that about $20 Billion is unaccounted for by the NNPC during his tenure.
