Do you have a Kindle Reading App? Do you know that you can read Kindle books on your computer, tablet, or mobile phone with the Kindle reading app? I guess you do. It’s like carrying your library with you wherever you go. The only difference is that you don’t need a caravan or towing van to do so. Isn’t that nice?

You can download a Kindle reading app for free at:

This would automatically create a Kindle account/library in the cloud for you. But don’t worry; no rain can spoil the books that you stock there! How creative that is!

You may follow this link to see how easy it is to set up a Kindle Account (Less than 4 minutes long):

With a Kindle account, you can get many life-changing books for free and stock them in your Online (Kindle) library to read anytime, anywhere or even lend to family and friends anywhere in the world, without the fear that they might be damaged or unreturned.

You can browse millions of eBooks in the Amazon Kindle Store, as well as thousands of magazines, comics and audiobooks. You can try any book with a free sample before you pay for it.
It is even better if you have the subscription-based unlimited Kindle account. ‘With a Kindle Unlimited subscription, you have access to over one million titles in the Kindle Store, including books, audiobooks, and magazines. Using your Amazon account, you can browse and borrow up to ten titles and access them from any Amazon device or Kindle reading app, even while travelling. There are no due dates.’

Exercise

Remember that the best exercise ever, especially for an old person, is the exercise of the brain. But if you still feel this is too “New School” for an “Old boy/Old girl”, please ensure that you sign up for, or get your children/wards to sign up for Kindle accounts. Most universities and even high schools these days operate online libraries and this would be a good way to put your child on the path to that reality.

Free books

You’ll be amazed at the number of HOW TO DO IT YOURSELF books available to be acquired for free through this process; especially in the areas of graphic design, computer programming and apps development. It is a sure way of making a bright child an income earner while still at school, and that would invariably lessen your financial burden and free up some funds for more point-and-kill, asun, assorted peppersoup, aso-ebi, mqombothi, Hennessey, Black Jack or lager. Or, if you’re like some of us, more gallons of ‘pure’ water.

There’s no better time to do it than NOW. Happy reading!
