The reclamation operation was concluded in Yobe State, after troops reclaimed Goniri town in north-east Nigeria from the Boko Haram terrorists.
The troops completed the reclaiming of the town on Monday morning, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) said.
The development is coming days after troops battled the Boko Haram terrorists in a determined bid to retake Damasak, a border town between Nigeria and Niger Republic.
The Defence Headquarters said the troops also routed terrorists from Bama in Borno State, in efforts to reclaim Borno State from the dissident group.
It says Mopping up operation is ongoing in Borno State.
