It was a special edition of Special Assignment, the monthly all-night prayer programme of Christ Populate (Testifier) Ministries (CPM), Pretoria. Kingdom Artistes and guests from other ministries were on hand to join the CPM congregation in praising the Lord.
Versatile gospel artiste, Reverend King, set the ball rolling with a rich mixture of multi-lingual worship and praise tunes.
The host Choir, Testifier Voices, was at its best and WEBIC Choir from the World Evangelical Bible Church Johannesburg rendered soul-stirring songs.
The Special Guest Artist, Gospel Silinda of the Ngiy Anikela fame, left no one in doubt as to why his music is a regular item on the menu of most radio stations and Gospel Television channels while supporting artistes, The Magnificent Voices, led by Brother Femi left the audience craving for more.
There were so many exciting dance routines that the event could easily pass for a special Audition of CPM’s Got Talent.
In the heat of the moment, even toddlers took to the floor.
The host pastor, Pastor Rasheed Adebayo, coordinated the programme with ministerial precision.
As promised, there were side attractions. CPM Spiritual dancers, comprising enterprising youths of the church, performed a well choreographed gospel mime while multi-talented Testifier Choir instrumentalist, Brother Isaac Yusuff thrilled the audience with scintillating Kingdom Comedy spiced with hilarious rhyme.
When I gained admission into higher institution, before my matriculation I was faced with the problem of oppression. I was in frustration. I walked into this commission, and I prayed in slow motion because my body was full of tension. As I praised God in the midst of my tribulation, I saw a vision. God sent his angel on a mission to kill all my enemies without permission; then I received information that for God’s plans to come into manifestation, I should abstain from fornication. I said, “God in this nation that is full of corruption?” Give me the permission to do this on this last occasion. God said I should overcome temptation for my promotion or I stop our communication. I had no option than to obey the law of adaptation. I was praying for a revolution but my pastor gave me a revelation that those people seeking my demotion had lost their destination; they are now in police station for further destruction.
In that notion, let’s give God a clapping ovation.
It was not just about the singing and dancing but the pervading atmosphere of joy and palpable blessings from above while the children of God were praising the Lord. As the General Overseer and Chief Host, Reverend Michael Ajileye said in the benediction, the blessings upon the people at the event surpassed the blessings that accrue from 21 days of dry fasting.
Take a peep at what went down in the following photos.
